Two zodiacs
Why your Vedic sign may differ from your Western one.
Western astrology measures the signs from the spring equinox (the tropical zodiac); Jyotiṣa measures them from the stars (the sidereal zodiac). The two have drifted about 24° apart, so many people's Vedic sign is one before their Western one. Kundaly computes both and labels each — a different sign is a different measure, not a mistake.
